Human Remains from the Dawn of History
The Nicholson Museum is proud to present its latest exhibit for our summer showcase "Human Remains from the Dawn of History". This exhibit illustrates our large collection of ancient artefacts and human remains, allowing the public to understand the lifestyles and traditions of ancient societies. Our head curator, Robert Cipriani, proudly presents our most recent exhibit, 'Chinese Mummies'.
The Chinese Mummies are the remains of an ancient colony that spanned across the Taklamakan Desert in Xinjiang, China. These mummies are also known as Tarim mummies, because they were discovered in the Tarim Basin, in the Taklamakan desert. The Nicholson Museum intends to use this website to inform the public of the great importance of the Chinese Mummies and allow us to understand their importance in aiding historians, archaeologists and scientists alike in discovering the truth about the past. |
